Don Murray Memorial Scholarship
for Oceanside Teachers

Don Murray believed that teachers, as lifetime learners and practitioners of a highly specialized art, continually require opportunities to update the knowledge and skills they bring to the classroom.

In recognition of these concepts and Don’s love for teachers and the teaching profession, the trustees of the Oceanside Federation of Teachers Memorial Scholarship have established, through the generosity of Don’s many friends and colleagues, a fund to provide scholarships to OFT members for studies which will enhance classroom skills, increase content area knowledge, or, for affiliate members, lead to teacher certification.
